Samuel R.W. Clark found his love for writing at a young age, when it became a safe escape from the pain of childhood bullying. Faced with loneliness, he turned to words as a way to release the hurt and imagine a world where love, resilience, and belonging always triumphed. Writing gave him the family he longed for — one built on acceptance, strength, and unconditional love.
Years later, after rediscovering a journal from a trip to Hawaii with his mom nearly fifteen years ago, Sam found new inspiration. Those memories of shared laughter, discovery, and the bond between mother and son became the foundation for what would grow into the Secrets of Hawaii series — stories that celebrate the ties that hold people together even through life’s hardest tides.
